The plan is to average 3-4 knots with 3-4 breaks depending on the
progress during the day. As tidal flows around the Isle of Wight are very strong we will try to time the starting position and time (approx 4am) so we get washed out past the needles without dipping our paddles. As Coley is in charge of the navigation this is a highly unlikely plan. The exact date has not yet been finalised but we will look to have a three day window in July when we can try to pick the best weather conditions - wind against tide makes for a very choppy Solent and high winds get caught in Tissot's afro making progress into the wind slow.
If you are going to be on the Isle of Wight around this time and fancy a
good laugh we'll let you know more details so you can join us at one of
the stops if you're nearby.
